Production & Shipping
Each Mortal Coil piece is produced in limited, made-to-order runs. This approach allows us to prioritize craftsmanship, reduce unnecessary waste, and create objects intended to endure beyond a single lifetime. Every piece is individually cast, hand-finished, assembled and inspected after your order is placed.
Production Timeline
Please allow 2–4 weeks for production. Timelines may vary slightly with material availability, order volume and finishing. Once your order enters production, it cannot be expedited. You'll receive an email with tracking as soon as your piece ships.
Materials
Mortal Coil objects are crafted in solid sterling silver, with 18k gold-plated interiors. Sterling silver naturally develops a patina over time. This aging is inherent to the material and meant to evolve with wear.
Shipping
Shipping is free on every order, fully insured, and requires a signature on delivery. Each piece arrives in a soft leather sleeve inside a fitted presentation box. Domestic orders typically arrive within 2–5 business days of shipping. We currently ship within the United States only.
Returns & Repairs
Because each piece is made to order and inspected by hand before it leaves our studio, all sales are final.
Every Mortal Coil piece is built to be lived with. If a structural part fails under normal use within the first year, such as a hinge or clasp, write to us at info@mortalcoilcollections.com and we'll repair it at no cost. Cosmetic wear, like scratches, dents or marks from everyday handling, is part of a piece's life and isn't covered.
For anything else, we're happy to arrange a repair or refinishing at the owner's cost. Just reach out.
If your order arrives damaged in transit, contact us within 48 hours of delivery. Every shipment is fully insured, and we'll make it right.
